Directions to North York Memorial Hall
North York Memorial Hall (NYMH) is located one level below the North York Central Library, at 5110 Yonge St., in the Aim/Trimark building on the north edge of Mel Lastman Square.
If Driving: you can park either at a pay lot on the west side of Beecroft, or in the underground parking below the NY Central Library, entering off Beecroft. If parking underground, the cost is $5 after 6 pm. Go to Level P2, and park near the elevator in sections K15 or L17. Take this elevator to the concourse level, turn right and the hall will be in sight on your left, with no change of level (no stairs).
If coming by subway: Exit at North York Centre subway stop. Take any exit on the west side of Yonge, but do not go outside, stay in the building, and follow the signs to NYMH or the NY Central Library. Do not go up to the library, stay on the concourse level. Enter the hallway on the left below the stairs to the library. Once in this hallway, NYMH will be immediately on your right.
If walking: The NYMH is in the west end of the Aim/Trimark building, which is labeled as 5140 Yonge St on the street level. Walk through Mel Lastman Square, down to the lowest level, to the very NW corner of the square, and enter through the doors below the library. The NYMH will be on your left.
Suggested place for dinner before the meeting: Baton Rouge at 5000 Yonge St. This restaurant is on the west side of Yonge, 1 block south of the NYMH. If you are driving, they have a special deal: if you park in their lot and bring the receipt to the restaurant, they will refund the $6 off your bill. Their parking is on the south side of Lansing St. (North York Blvd. on Google maps), just west of Yonge, in the same building that houses their restaurant. Lansing (North York Blvd.) is the street bordering the south edge of Mel Lastman Square. If coming by subway, exit on the west side of Yonge St, walk through Mel Lastman Square to street level and walk one block south to the restaurant. It is about a 5 to 6 minute walk from the restaurant to NYMH.
